These territories have an enormous environmental value with a great wealth of flora and fauna. In addition, it is an important passage area for thousands of migratory birds.
The marsh of the Albufera of Valencia, located within the Natural Park of the region, one of the largest in the entire peninsula, includes the municipalities of Alfafar, Sedaví, Massanassa, Catarroja, Albal, Beniparrell, Silla, Sollana, Sueca, Cullera, Albalat and Algemesí.
